Pierre-Simon Leduc was born 28 October 1729, the fifteenth and youngest child of Guillaume and Elizabeth Leduc. At the age of 25, he married Louise Coutaut in Quebec. They had five children: Pierre, Marie-Catherine, Marie-Louise, Pierre, and Francois.
